OwnVault is designed to keep user data private and stored locally on the user's device.
OwnVault does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app does not use external servers to store passwords or account records.
Password entries, logins, websites, notes and related records are stored locally on the user's device. The app does not provide cloud synchronization in the current version.
OwnVault encrypts stored records using standard encryption mechanisms available on Apple platforms. The encryption key is stored securely using iOS Keychain.
The master password is stored using iOS Keychain. Face ID may be used to unlock the vault if the user enables biometric authentication on their device. Biometric authentication is handled by iOS and OwnVault does not access or store biometric data.
When users copy passwords or logins, the app may place this information into the system clipboard. OwnVault includes an option to clear copied data automatically after a selected period.
OwnVault does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or external tracking tools.
